Corrections are genuinely welcome. If a conversion on this site does not match what your scale says, we would rather hear about it than leave it wrong.

What to write about
A number looks wrong
This is the message we most want to receive. Tell us the ingredient and the figure you expected, and include the source or the weight printed on your packaging if you have it.
An ingredient is missing
We store 115 ingredients today. If you keep converting something we do not cover, say which one and we will look for a reliable density figure.
Anything else
Corrections to a guide, an accessibility problem, a broken page, or a question about how a calculator works. All of it lands in the same inbox.
Before reporting a conversion, it may be worth checking our data sources — it lists the density we use for every ingredient and explains why two sites can both be reasonable and still disagree.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly will I get a reply?
We read everything, usually within a few days. We only reply if you leave an email address, and we will not use it for anything other than answering you.
Do I have to give my name and email?
No. Only the message is required. Leave the other two fields blank if you just want to send a correction anonymously — though without an email we cannot ask you a follow-up question.
I found a conversion that disagrees with another website. Who is right?
Possibly neither of us — volume-to-weight conversion is genuinely approximate, and reputable sources disagree by a few percent for the same ingredient. Our data sources page lists the figure we use for every ingredient and where it came from, so you can judge it yourself.
Can I suggest a whole new calculator?
Yes, and please explain the situation that made you want it. Knowing the actual kitchen problem is far more useful to us than the feature request on its own.
